Lazair has ongoing sustainable social development projects in partnership with Impilo Centre, a local non-profit organisation. Lazair provides the much needed funding, staff volunteers and transport. Joint ventures with Impilo include feeding schemes, support to drug addicts, HIV testing with counselling, youth and sports development, disaster relief projects and moral regeneration programs at schools.

Lazair’s efforts have not gone unnoticed by the Public eye. Lazair was anonymously elected for the prestigious Nedbank local Hero award and Lazair CEO, Lazarus Bhagalu, has been the prestigious winner for 3 years with Shermin Bhagalu being the recipient for 2013. The acknowledgment was for involvement in the underprivileged areas and the facilitation of Youth development programs.
